The Right pushes back hard against talk of Voter Supression in Colorado Recall

On  Tuesday two  Democratic Senators, including the  Senate President   were recalled by slim margins in a typically  low-turnout  election.  DNC  Chair  Debbie Wasserman-Shulttz and the candidates  are now  saying there was abject  voter supression and that is why  the Senators  lost.

Republicans  went to court  to  get mail-in balloting  stopped  and when the higher court  overruled the original decision there was only four days of  mail in Ballots left.

The Right has launched  an all out offensive against the Voter supression charge.  Fox News,  Twitchy  BIZpac,, and I am sure Brietbart are shoving back:

Colorado’s first ever successful recall wasn’t about money.  It wasn’t about partisan politics.  It wasn’t even about guns.
In the aftermath of Tuesday’s historic recall election, a lot of people are re-writing history.
Some say it was bought and paid for by the gun-lobby, but if elections can be so easily bought and paid for why didn’t the recall fail?  As the Washington Post noted, the anti-recall effort bolstered by billionaire Eli Broad and NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg outspent the pro-recall effort by a 5-to-1 margin.
Others are saying it was partisan politics at its worst.  But that doesn’t explain why more Democrats and Independents signed the recall petition than Republicans.  That doesn’t explain why in State Senator Angela Giron’s district, where Democrats enjoy a 47-23% registration advantage over Republicans, the recall passed by double-digits.
You see, for the people of Colorado, the recall was about something much more fundamental and personal - their right to be heard.

Laughable...  One  of the two races  wound up   51% to 49% the other race ws  56%-44% ,

But  here's the thing:   only  20% of the electorate  showed up   which means   about  11% of the electorate ousted  these two Dems.

There is a  big problem  Dems  have   with Special  Elections .    We saw it in the  Sanford-Cobert Race in South Carolina.   We saw it in  Wisconsin with he  drive to  Recall the Union Busting Legislators.  We saw it in Massachusetts when   Scott Brown won.  We saw it  a decade  ago when  Republican recalled Governor  Gray Davis and replaced him with Ah-nold.

Despite  throwing tons of money at these campaigns,  Democrats  simply did not turnout.  What are we spending money on?   Media?  High Falutin' campaign consultants?

We lose these elections  because  we are either inept  or lazy.  Yes  Mail-in voting was stopped..   But  Come on...  our GOTV effort  was terrible... again.
